At Elemodo Radio, accessible from https://radio.elemodo.com and its affiliated domains, and through the official Elemodo Radio apps, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. When you register for an account, we ask for contact information such as your name and email address, and optionally a telephone number and profile photo.
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and any attachments you send us, and any other information you choose to provide.
We record basic device and session information for each sign-in, including a device identifier, operating system, browser, timezone, language, and IP address. This is used to secure your account and to let you review and revoke your active devices.
Elemodo Radio builds your station from your own Apple Music account, which you connect and can disconnect at any time. When you authorize it, we receive a Music User Token from Apple and use it to read your music library and your recent listening history, including track, artist, album, and recording identifiers, so we can build and update your rotation.
We store the catalog metadata and play history needed to plan your stations. We do not receive your Apple ID password or your Apple payment details, and we do not copy or store the recordings themselves. Revoking authorization, or removing the connection in Settings, stops further access.
So the DJ can talk about your local weather, Elemodo Radio uses a location you configure for a station. Weather data is retrieved from Apple WeatherKit using that location. You can change or remove it at any time, and doing so stops weather segments for that station.
Stations can include feed addresses, topics, and standing notes that you write for the DJ. We store this configuration, fetch the feeds you nominate, and use their contents to write segments. We also store the generated scripts and the audio produced from them, along with a record of what was played, so the DJ can avoid repeating itself.
Producing a station requires sending some of your information to service providers who act on our behalf. Specifically:

If you choose to connect another Elemodo product, such as a household briefing from Elemodo Home, Elemodo Radio retrieves the information you have authorized so the DJ can read it on air. This connection is optional, is made with a token you supply, and can be removed at any time in Settings.

Elemodo Radio follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring and exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Like any other website, Elemodo Radio uses cookies. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences and the pages that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and other information. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.
Elemodo Radio's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third parties for more detailed information, including their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.
Elemodo Radio retains complete data backups for up to sixty days. Generated segments and rundowns are pruned automatically once they are no longer needed. Data may continue to be retained if it is attached to another service requiring longer retention. Users may request their data be removed completely at any time by opening the Elemodo Radio app, going to Settings, and choosing to disable their account.
